MARINER'S COMPASS
Written and performed by Joseph Norris
Songwriter and singer Joseph Norris hails from St. Mary's County, Maryland, having grown up on a farm near Chaptico. He's been writing songs since he was a teen-ager, and many are about the land and waters of his Southern Maryland home. In 2004, he sang at the Smithsonian Institution's July 4th Folklife Festival, at the tent showing the life-ways of the Mid-Atlantic regional waters. This CD collects some of his best work.
